CK Ranch is named for Dr. Cyrus Khabiri, who was born in Persia, but later became a U.S. citizen and served the American Army. In retirement during the 1960's Dr. Khabiri and his daughter, Diana, began a small horse farm, raising ponies, but always hoped to find the small horses he had been told of since his childhood in Iran. Today, CK Ranch is home to "River Caspian Stud" for breeding and foaling purebred Caspian Horses from Dr. Khabiri's homeland.

CK Ranch also trains Caspians, Miniature Horses, offers driving lessons, show preparation courses, and is dedicated to preserving the rare Caspian breed for future generations.
